Thai Sweet Chili Sauce (Sugar Free)

Sugar-free Thai sweet chili sauce

This is always one of my favorite sauces, but the ones you buy at the store have so much sugar in them! This is my sugar-free recipe. All of the flavor with less carbs!

🔶Ingredients:
🔸3/4 cup Xylitol sweetner (You can also use Swerve, or even monk fruit granulated sweetener. I like xylitol because it tastes the most like real sugar)
🔸1/2 cup Rice vinegar.
🔸1/4 cup water.
🔸2 cloves finely minced garlic.
🔸1 tbsp crushed red pepper flakes.
🔸1 tbsp sriracha (or less if you don’t like too much heat).
🔸3/4 tbsp cornstarch.
🔸1 tbsp cool water (to dissolve cornstarch in).
🔸1/2 tbsp fish sauce (soy sauce will work in a pinch, or sub with 1/2tsp of salt)

🔷Directions:
🔹Add your sweetener to a small sauce pan, then add water and vinegar. Heat on medium heat until the sweetener has completely dissolved.
🔹Bring the mixture to a light boil still on medium heat, add in the garlic, sriracha, and red pepper flakes.
🔹let this cook at a light boil for about 4-5 mins.
🔹Add fish sauce or salt.
🔹In a small bowl/dish dissolve the cornstarch in to the water.  Then add this mixture to the sauce.
🔹Reduce heat to low(so it is no longer at a boil) and stir for 2 mins.
🔹Transfer to a glass dish and chill for about 30 mins in the fridge before serving!
