Sous Vide Pesto Pork Chop

Sous vide Pork Chop with basil, garlic sauce, topped with parmesan. Served with a side Caesar salad with home made low carb croutons

I loved cooking this meal, the sous vide makes it so easy to cook.

I waited a little too long to defrost the @butcher_box pork so I decided to try the cook from frozen option on the @joule app for pork chops.

Set water temp to 140° and cook time was 2 hours. So I just put these in a bag with chopped garlic, some pesto sauce, a little olive oil, salt and pepper. Then didn’t worry about it for 2 hours until the app text me the chops were ready!

Once they are done I got the cast iron skillet heated very hot, and used butter to get a nice quick sear on all sides, maybe about 20 seconds per side because I didn’t really want to cook them any further.

The great part is that the seasonings and sauce in the bag sort of make it’s own sauce for you when the chops are cooking.

.
Top the chops with this sauce and a little Parmesan cheese and serve! Such a flavorful low-maintenance meal.
